Voluntary Contributions & Charges

The School Education Act 1999 and the School Education Regulations (2000) allow schools to request financial contributions from parents/caregivers for students enrolled in Government schools. Contributions in this proposal are defined as voluntary contributions and are approved by the School Board. The School Contributions are separate from P & C fundraising activities.

The school receives a grant each year from the Department of Education, which provides most of the material and resources necessary for students to access educational programs. The voluntary contributions will assist the school to enhance programs by providing additional resources and materials.

The School Board in discussing school contributions has endeavored to take into consideration the level of contribution needed to provide necessary additional student resources, materials and activities that will enhance our educational programs without causing undue hardship to parents/guardians.
