At Camboon Primary School, we are passionate about tailoring learning to spark student curiosity and creativity. Our dedicated staff work to seamlessly integrate the curriculum across various learning areas, guided by what interests our students most. Through regular student surveys, we identify four engaging ‘themes’ for the year, ensuring each topic aligns with the curriculum and captivates our learners.
Over the past years, several of our educators have been part of the Creative Schools program, collaborating with Creative Practitioners to enrich their programs with elements of dance, music, visual arts, technology, and more. This collaboration has empowered our teachers to bring creativity into every classroom, creating a consistent and inspiring approach. Additionally, Mathilda Joubert, a former leader in the Creative Schools initiative, has led numerous professional development workshops to deepen our teachers’ skills in integrating curriculum areas through innovative planning.
As a result, our integrated curriculum is now in full effect from Kindergarten through to Year 6, fostering higher engagement, deeper learning, and enhanced creativity across all subjects.
